With the huge amount of CBD products and brands available, it can be a headache trying to find the best UK CBD oils for you in 2025.
Whether you are looking to buy CBD oil, water-soluble CBD, CBG oils, or CBD patches, you need to consider a few important steps before purchasing to ensure you have the best possible CBD experience.
Read on to discover our 2025 CBD buyer's guide.
How To Buy CBD In The UK
- Start with a lower-strength product such as our 500mg or 1000mg CBD drops, and a low dose. Once you work out how much you need, you can then increase the strength if necessary.
- Always check the CBD content in the product description. This should be written in milligrams (mg). Be cautious, as 1000mg of hemp extract is not the same as 1000mg of CBD.
- Verify the CBD and THC content with a third-party lab certificate, also known as a certificate of analysis (CoA). The lab reports for our products can be seen in the image section of each product. These reports help ensure consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the product contains 100% natural ingredients and is made using organically grown premium hemp. For high-quality CBD drops, the only ingredients should be full-spectrum hemp extract and hemp seed oil.
Other CBD oils may combine the CBD extract with ingredients such as MCT oil or contain synthetic ingredients. We trust in the plant to provide everything needed for effective CBD oils.
Low-quality hemp that has not been grown organically may result in pesticides in the final product. You can also check if a safe extraction method, such as CO2 extraction, has been used.
- If you prioritise efficacy, always choose full spectrum CBD over broad spectrum. Over-processed CBD products such as those made with pure CBD isolate or broad spectrum CBD, can often lack a diverse range of beneficial compounds (CBDa, terpenes, etc) and may not offer the desired effects that can be achieved with minimally refined CBD oils.
- Look out for red flags such as unsubstantiated medical claims or very low prices. There are currently no approved health claims for CBD in the UK, so any company making specific health claims for CBD is likely to be breaking the law.
- Look out for products sold online marketed as 'hemp oils' that are very affordable, but these might not contain CBD and are usually just hemp seed oils.
- Consult with your GP before using any food supplements - CBD included. As with many natural products, CBD interacts with certain prescription medications, which could potentially lead to adverse effects.
A healthcare professional should be well-equipped to advise on whether CBD is safe for your situation.
- Last, but not least, ensure that you are getting good value for money. Here at BROWN'S, we aim to offer the best prices and often give discounts to ensure that you can afford and enjoy CBD UK products.
