4 Hacks To Make The Most Of Your CBD Oil

4 Hacks To Make The Most Of Your CBD Oil

There's no doubt cannabidiol Oil has become one of the most popular supplements in recent years.

And based on current research, our own experience, and customer feedback it's no wonder why.

CBD Oil can have a profound impact on health and well-being. But if you want to make the most of your oil there are some simple 'hacks' that you can do. Read on to find out!

1) Hold the drops under the tongue for a prolonged period of time.

Our general guidance is to hold the drops under the tongue for at least one minute, as this seems a sensible balance between absorption and practicality.

But you could get better results by holding the drops under the tongue for longer.

When drops are held under the tongue, the cannabinoids are absorbed into the bloodstream through the mucous membranes in the mouth.

This leads to higher bioavailability (the portion of a substance that makes it to the bloodstream) than swallowing the drops directly.

This is no exact science and we have no studies to back this up. But the theory is that the longer you hold the drops, the higher the absorption rates. From our experience and what customers say, this does seem to be the case.

2) Consume your cannabidiol oil with a meal.

CBD is a fat-soluble substance, much like vitamins A, D, E, and K. Fat-soluble substances are absorbed more efficiently when consumed with a source of fat.

A study from the University of Minnesota compared the absorption rates of pure CBD taken when fasting, or with a high-fat meal.

The results were profound, with absorption rates of CBD taken with the meal being up to 14 times higher than when fasting.

So this is one way to overcome the poor bioavailability issues if you wish to swallow your drops directly.

But for best results, you could combine holding the drops for longer just before or after a high-fat meal.

3) Experiment with a lower dose.

If you are looking for optimal well-being support, one can often assume that increasing to a higher dose will deliver better results.

This is not always the case with CBD.

If you are simply using CBD for health and well-being, then sometimes less is more. That's why we always recommend starting low and then gradually increasing, so you can assess how different doses affect you.

Sometimes if you take more than you actually need then it can be less effective. However, many people use CBD products for purposes other than general health and well-being.

In this case, the dose you need can vary depending on what you are using it for.

So if you are the type of person who likes to 'go for gold' and jump to the highest dose/strength. Please take this into consideration, as it may save you some money!

 4) Take a break.

When you use a supplement for long periods of time, you can get used to the effect it has on you.

Some customers report having excellent results initially that are then less noticeable after a while. This doesn't necessarily mean that the product is no longer benefiting you.

It could be because the product has created a new baseline in terms of health and well-being.

So if you have any doubts about whether the product is still offering benefits, taking a break for a few days and then returning to the same dose that you had the best results with may help to clarify this.
